The main message of my work is for you to take a few
minutes everyday to be still. This time without activity or To Do lists
allow you to evaluate what's important in your life and where you are living
according to your values and integrity. You don't have to meditate for an
hour or follow some rigorous routine. You start with only 5 minutes a day
and build up to 20 minutes. Given all that you do for your job or your
family, don't you deserve qt least 20 minutes a day for yourself?
How do coaching sessions
work?
I schedule weekly phone sessions with people who
want to make life more meaningful and fulfilling. In our initial
sessions, we decide the direction to take the coaching. It might be to
reduce stress in general or some specific area of concern that needs
attention. Generally the coaching sessions include:
- A minute of conscious breathing
to transition from what was going on to be present for the coaching
session.
- Discussion about what
worked well during the past week.
- Discussion about what
needed more work from the past week.
- Discussion of the
homework assignment.
- Setting the agenda for
this session.
- Working through the
agenda.
- Restating homework
assignments that became apparent during the session.
My one-on-one coaching sessions last 50 minutes. I am
available for short phone calls and email between sessions. Of course, if a
spontaneous, full session is needed, that can be arranged.
Duration of Coaching
Most of my clients work with me for a minimum of three
months. Several clients have had weekly sessions for two or more years. Once
a client completes with me, I offer single sessions, as needed.
